ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Today, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Manoj Srivastava to serve as Chair of the Modernize Maryland Oversight Commission.

"Maryland has work to do to reduce risks related to data privacy and improve customer service capacity," said Maryland State Senator Katie Fry Hester, Chair of the Joint Committee on Cybersecurity, IT and Biotechnology. "Mr. Srivastava brings the industry experience, technical expertise and sense of urgency necessary to lead the Modernize Maryland Commission through the critical process of bringing our IT into the 21st Century."

“The field of cybersecurity is an important and growing sector of Maryland’s economy, and is important to the overall health of Maryland’s business and government ecosystem,” said Andrew Griffin, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. “Manoj Srivastava brings extensive experience from his work at Tenable and his seasoned career in cybersecurity adds tremendous value to the commission’s work. His appointment as Chair is a testament to his leadership and knowledge as a business and cybersecurity expert.”

“Modernization is vital to making the state’s IT infrastructure more secure and resilient. The work doesn’t stop with that. Modernization and security are interconnected. I’m honored to serve as the Chair of this commission.”
